Scholarship Program
Every term, five children in Kigali walk into school knowing their fees are paid, their uniforms fit, and their meals are covered. This is the project we started with — and the one we will never stop.
The program
This is not a one-time donation. When a child joins the program, our commitment is to walk with them from where they are today until they complete Senior 6 — the end of secondary school. That means paying every term's fees, replacing uniforms as they grow, buying textbooks each new year, and covering daily meals.
Because a hungry child cannot read. A child in a shrunken uniform cannot focus. Education means all of it — or none of it.
The Five
Our five students are minors, so we share initials and grades only. Full names and photos are shared privately with regular donors, with each guardian's written consent.

Every franc has a job
These are our real annual costs per child, from actual school invoices. We publish them because if we ask for your trust, you deserve to see the numbers.
School fees per year for a public primary place, including registration and end-of-term exams.
Two full uniforms per year — because children grow, and one uniform is never enough.
Textbooks and exercise books for the year's subjects, plus pens, a bag, and geometry sets.
Daily lunch at school for the ~200 school days per year. A fed child learns.
≈ 405,000 RWF per child per year for primary. Secondary is higher, closer to 800,000 RWF once boarding, transport, and higher fees come in.
The process
We are not a big NGO. We are a book club with careful money. Every step is done by someone who can name the child and the guardian.
A child is nominated to us — usually by a teacher, a sector official, or a member of our community. We ask about the family, the school situation, and any existing support.
Two members of Goal Diggers visit the home, meet the guardian, and hear the child's story firsthand. No decision is made from behind a screen.
When we say yes, we pay the school directly — never in cash to a family. The school sends us the invoice each term, and we settle it within a week.
We visit each child once a term. We look at their report card, check their uniform, and simply sit and talk. If a child needs anything extra — a doctor, a tutor, a new pair of shoes — we hear about it here.
We stay until Senior 6. We do not drop a child mid-journey. This is our single most important promise.
Our record
Join the circle
Our monthly donors are the ones keeping this program alive between fundraisers. Even 5,000 RWF a month adds up to one child's uniforms for the year. Anything you can give, we will spend well.
